Free Guide Dog Eye Exam
The American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists® (ACVO®) will be hosting a National Service Dog Eye Exam Day the week of May 3, 2009. More than 180 ACVO® board certified ophthalmologists will donate their time to provide this valuable free eye screening to guide dog users. The dogs must be active, certified, 'working dogs'. You will need to provide your certification and/or the dog's ID to prove their status as a working Service Dog to participate in this program.

Graduates will need to register your dog via an online registration form. Registration opens April 1, 2009. A confirmation and registration number will be sent to your e-mail. Once registered, you can locate a participating ophthalmologist in your area and contact that office to schedule an appointment. Participating offices from Southeastern Guide Dogs 12 state area are listed below. Following the list is a link that will take you to a new screen to register.
