Easter Hazards

While all the joys and celebrations of Easter are going on keep an eye on your guide dogs. Dangers lurk in the most innocent of places.

Make sure you keep Easter baskets up high, out of reach of your dog. The colorful plastic grass in baskets is not digestible and can cause a dangerous blockage if eaten.

Don't be tempted to decorate your dog with Easter ribbons, bows or streamers. They create a choking hazard or digestive track problem if eaten also. Throw those chocolate foil wrappers in a covered trash can for the same reason.

Most importantly, keep those chocolate eggs out of reach. Chocolate is toxic to dogs and eaten in large amounts can be fatal.

Follow these guidelines and your and your dog will have a safe and happy Easter.
